Rebeca Noriega Costas holds an M.A. in Art History from the University of Puerto Rico and an M.A. in History and Theory of Modern Art from the University of Essex, UK. She completes her formation by an M.A. in Curatorial Studies and Contemporary Culture from the Center for Curatorial Studies of Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, USA.

Rebeca Noriega Costas is a professor at the Escuela de Artes Plásticas of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and at the University of Puerto Rico. She developed and established the first Curatorial Studies courses within the M.A. of Cultural Administration.

From 2007 to 2009, she was special projects coordinator at the Museo del Barrio in New York, USA.
Lately, she helped with the selection of Puerto Rican artists for the exhibition Caribbean : Crossroads of the World at the Queens Museum of Art, at El Museo del Barrio and at the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York, USA, 2012-2013.

Rebeca Noriega Costas was on the curatorial team of The Hive – the 3rd edition of the de la Trienal Poliy/grafica of San Juan in Puerto Rico, in 2012.

Rebeca Noriega Costas also curated the following shows :

En Sus Marcas… at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Santurce, Puerto Rico, in 2008 (with Radamés ‘Juni’ Figueroa, Gamaliel Rodríguez, José Lerma…). As well as In Someone Else’s Skin at the CCS Hessel Museum of the Bard College, USA, in 2007 (with Allora & Calzadilla, Miguel Luciano…) ; or ReShuffle: Notions of an Itinerant Museum for Art in General in New York, USA in 2006.

Occasionally, she published some articles and reviews for ArtNexus.
