Miguel Luciano | Puerto Rico

Born in 1972, in San Juan, Puerto Rico,
Lives and works in New York, USA.

Graduated in fine arts from the University of Florida (2000).

Miguel Luciano won a prize from the Joan Mitchell Foundation (2007). He is also a fellow of the New York Foundation for the Arts – NYFA – in 2004 and of the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation (2003, 2006).

He was artist in residence at the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in New York (2010), at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (2005) and at the Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York (2001).

Miguel Luciano participated in the 8th Biennial of Mercosur (2011), in the 26th Biennial of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he wons the Grand Prix (2005) ; in the 1st Trienal Poli/grafica de San Juan, Puerto Rico (2004) and the biennial of the Museo del Barrio in New York, The S-Files in 2002.
