St Vincent / UK.
Installation at Imagine IC, Amsterdam
2007 (Amsterdam) and 2008 (Holland wide tour).

The central installation is of a modern Dutch living room where each coloured wall represents a different migrant community who have colonial and post-colonial relationships with Holland and have settled there since the 19th century: Moroccan (orange), Indonesian (cream), Surinamese and Antillean (yellow). Objects from these communities dress the space along with six short films viewed on the TV of a week in the life of a different migrant family’s living room. A photographic exhibition contextualises the central installation that consists of ten large print migrant family portraits there were taken in their living rooms and three large scale photographic collages.
