Kishan Munroe | The Bahamas

Born in 1980, in Nassau, The Bahamas,
Lives and works in Nassau, The Bahamas.

Graduated in fine arts and painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, USA (2003, BFA ; 2005 MFA).

Kishan Munroe a is recipient of the Nancie Mattice International Grand Prize Award by the Dangenart Gallery of Nashville, USA (2006) ; of the Governor’s Choice Award in The Bahamas (2004) and won the prize of the national art contest organized by the Central Bank of The Bahamas (2004, 2000, 1998, 1997).

He is also fellow of the Bahamian D’Aguilar Foundation (2009) and of the American National Endowment for the Arts (2009, 2004, 2000).

Kishan Munroe exhibited his works in the following show :

Kishan Munroe’s artworks are contained in the collections of the following institutions :

NABG (National Art Gallery of The Bahamas), Central Bank of The Bahamas, the Gauthier Foundation, and in several private collections such as in the one of the American ambassador to The Bahamas (Ned Siegel) or of the president of the Savannah College of Art & Design (Paula Wallace).
